Nick is a Natural Health Products (NHPs) expert with over 17 years of experience. He earned his Bachelor of Science in biological sciences from the University of Ottawa. He was the top student in Respiratory Therapy in Alberta and was the recipient of the Alberta Society of Respiratory Therapists Award for academic Excellence. He successfully completed his Respiratory Therapy internship at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. Nick is a Certified Natural Products Advisor and a recipient of the Gordon Storie Award. He is a Master of Public Health (MPH) graduate from the University of Liverpool, UK in 2014. His MPH thesis on the role of Natural Health products in Public Health was accepted for presentation at the European Public Health Association in Glasgow, Scotland, UK.
He was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal from the Government of Canada for the promotion of health care and healthy living and for contributing significantly to expand the use of NHPs in Canada. He was awarded Canada 150 Medal for Community Service by the Federal Oshawa MP Dr. Colin Carrie in 2017.
